J. Michael’s Philly Deli

J. Michael’s Philly Deli Is an absolute staple in my hometown of Wilmington, NC. They have been in operation for over 45 years. I have always loved their food and casual atmosphere. I came for a visit on my birthday and enjoyed myself as always.

I ordered a ”whole” Philly cheesesteak with onions and extra cheese, a side of sweet peppers with fries to go along with it.

The cheesesteaks here are super consistent and are best eaten inside the restaurant. The extra cheese makes it so smooth and decadent; the peppers help cut that richness when needed. The fries are crisp and thick; similar to potato wedges. We also got a side of crispy onion rings with ranch.

Typically I review restaurants of the Triad area but if you are in Wilmington (and heading to Carolina Beach or Wrightsville Beach) you should ABSOLUTELY try them out. YUMMY YUMMY.
