National Chains Popping Up

In partnership with

Since the beginning of this year I have noticed the increased amount of chicken chains that have popped up in the area. These places include:

Pollo Campero started in Guatemala and has mostly bone in chicken - fried and grilled.

Slim Chickens is mostly chicken tenders and wings.

Dave’s Hot Chicken and Hangry Joes focus on the “Hot Chicken” style of seasoning.

I typically only review local restaurants and local chains - these brands are national chains so I have been reluctant to review them due to them not needing my promotion. However, I have had lots of requests to review these places and I also want to try them out for myself.

Personally they would all get at least one try from me. The “Hot Chicken” craze seems to only be gaining more and more speed - I prefer hot SAUCES but the dry rubs are OK.

I will start reviewing some of these as I see it. I also want to start listing certain deals that I see to help everyone save money. For example Box Car has half priced pizzas every weekday from 5pm-8pm, Full Moon Oyster Bar has $0.95 oysters steamed or raw on the half shell all day on Mondays and Porterhouse has $5.99 plain burgers with sides on Mondays.
