Ghassan’s

Ghassan’s is a local Mediterranean chain that has been around for a few decades. There are currently three locations here in Greensboro. I decided to go in for a late lunch at the Grandover Village location near Publix.

With snow being on the horizon, I went ahead and ordered several menu items to last me a couple days. I got a gyro with fries and salad, a large salad, a pound of chicken salad, 2 extra sides of pita bread as well as a mezze platter. I took a seat at the table and a member of staff brought my food out hot and fresh within about 10 minutes or so.

The gyro was nicely loaded with cucumber sauce, sliced lamb - then tucked in a warm pita. I love the tangy Greek dressing with the salad and that they put tons of feta cheese on it.

The Mezze plate was fresh and features a variety of flavors - creamy, earthy hummus, spiced muhammara, and creamy labneh. The tabouli was fresh but I’m not a fan of raw tomatoes but if you are it would be good to cut through the richness of the dips. The falafel was crispy and just the right size.

I was full off of just my gyro platter so I packed the rest to go. I spent about $45 for everything pictured but this is easily 3-4 meals. I highly recommend YUM!
