El Alebrije
El Alebrije is located at 5120 West Market St, in the building that used to be Rearn Thai. When I walked into the building the beautiful artwork is the first thing that captured my attention. The colors are extremely vibrant and highly detailed.

I took a seat at the bar, was greeted by the friendly staff and reviewed the menu.

I decided to start with some cheese dip to go with the cool tri colored tortilla chips. The chips were good and sturdy, great for dipping. The salsa was pretty standard for most Mexican restaurants. The cheese dip was the perfect consistency and a fair sized portion.

For my entree I got the chicken and steak fajitas. They came out steaming hot on the skillet plate with lots of peppers and onions. On the side they included rice, refried beans, sour cream, lettuce and 3 tortillas.

The fajitas were delicious and very filling, it was a large portion so I ended up taking most of it home. Next time I want to try the Pollo Fundido. I believe they have been open for a year or so but they deserve more recognition and traffic in my opinion.
