Dear Dad’s is located at 3929 Battleground Ave. right beside Elizabeth’s Pizza. This place is insanely popular and always very busy. I was very fortunate to be invited back out to do another review. First I started off with a Biscoff latte, cucumber, Agua Fresca, and an Agua de Jamaica.

The cucumber was light in flavor, with some cucumber pulp towards the bottom. The Biscoff Latte was sweet and rich topped with Biscoff crumbs. The Jamaica was my favorite. I’ve had this before; but it is hard to find. The hibiscus flower is earthy and not overly sweet, so delicious and unique.

First I started off with a Caesar salad.

The salad was good, the dressing was not overpowering so the lettuce stayed crispy.

Next, I tried the Cajun chicken pasta

The Cajun chicken pasta was my second favorite entrée. The sauce was nice and spicy very rich. The penne noodles were coated well and the chicken pieces were chunky. A very hardy filling Dish for sure.

Then I tried the Chilaquiles Christmas style.

This is my first time ever having Chilaquiles and I am so blown away with the level of flavor here. The green salsa or salsa Verde here is the best salsa Verde I’ve ever had and I’m pretty sure it’s the best around. The flavor is fresh bright and sharp -very delicious. The red salsa was spicier than the green and the rice and beans were flavorful and moist. This was my favorite dish of the entire visit.

Next, we moved onto the Birria bowl.

This ball came fully loaded with all the toppings and Fresh made chips. The Birria here is flavorful.

Last but not least I moved onto the Red Velvet waffles with chicken tenders and potatoes.

This was presented beautifully and was a lot of food. The red velvet waffle is taught with cream cheese however the staff did say to use a little bit of syrup on top which definitely elevated the flavors. The chicken tenders are uniformly cut and hand breaded nice and thick. Very delicious.

Overall, this place has something for everybody and I highly recommend checking them out. I also recommend making reservations. Thank you again to the staff for having me out and giving me outstanding service.
