Dave’s Hot Chicken is located at 1949 Battleground Ave. beside Outback Steakhouse. This popular “hot chicken” chain has become extremely popular over the last few years across the country and finally got one here. The line was extremely long for the last several months but it has finally slowed enough for me to stop by.
I ordered the tender and slider combo with fries, spice level medium, side of macaroni and a drink which came up to about $20.

Tender, Slider and fries

Macaroni
The tenders were big, well coated and made fresh. The slider had slaw on it with the Dave’s sauce but I could have used a bit more of it. It’s a kale slaw so it helps to cut the spice a bit. Overall the slider was pretty good and filling on its own. The fries were crinkle cut and seasoned well so I enjoyed them with a side of the Dave’s sauce. The macaroni reminded me of the Golden Corral style a bit, so nothing too fancy. Overall not a bad place to eat, very popular with the younger folks.
