Ben’s Boyz

Ben’s Boyz is located at 2711 Grandview Ave in Friendly shopping center. They offer a variety of soul food options that are home-cooked style.

I walked in and was greeted by friendly staff and decided to order the two fried chicken leg plate with macaroni and cheese, okra, and a roll as well as a bottle of sweet tea. Altogether my total for the plate plus drink was $16 even.

The food came out hot and fresh within about 10-12 minutes.

Believe it or not there are three pieces of chicken pictured here and a roll, fried okra and macaroni and cheese, bottled sweet tea. The sweet tea is delicious sweet however I would like to see this location get an ice machine or soda fountain but I do understand that that does come with extra cost and maintenance. The staff did offer me a cup of ice which was very nice. The chicken was hot and crispy, okra juicy and also crispy and the macaroni and cheese was perfect. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anybody looking for a nice soul food plate. Definitely a nice option to bring variety to Friendly Center - Yum!
